I’m honored to have earned the trust of clients who value quality, precision, and a sustainable approach.
Here’s what they’re saying.

Pat Baker installed a new driveway for us in August 2022. He cleared, graded, laid down geotextile, and spread rock, and gravel. Pat also excavated for water lines and installed new yard hydrants as part of the project.

Since this project, we have continued to call on Pat for additional gravel deliveries. Pat has always been fair, punctual, and professional. His equipment is well-maintained and reliable.

We recommend Pat Baker to friends and family.

I have worked with Pat on two different projects now and based on those two jobs there's no doubt I will be working with him again.  His professionalism and honest communication are a big factor in the quality of the jobs that were done.

It was more than obvious that he's been doing this for some time now and made working with him a delight.  His ability to deal with unforeseen circumstances that arose on the job was impressive.

I look forward to working with him again in the future.

The first time Pat Baker did a job for us, we knew we’d be hiring him again. That was in 2009. Fifteen years and several large jobs later, and he’s the only excavator/truck operator I’ve worked with since.

The jobs he’s done on our 20-acre farm have included everything from garden site, forest trail, screen tree-planting, and land clearing work, to extensive driveway, drainage, slope engineering, and infiltration system projects. These were all large multi-day projects, and with our property located in one of the wettest places in the Northwest, all of them centered on proper drainage to keep top soil in place and structures high and dry.

Adding to the complexity was the fact that much of it involved removing and re-doing old and improperly installed infrastructure, sometimes requiring creative solutions to correct decades-old problems. The end results always functioned flawlessly and looked beautiful.

Pat always made the entire process completely seamless for us. Our property is more than 100 miles from his base of operation in east King County, yet he handled the sourcing of all materials locally. With Pat’s personable and professional way of doing business, he quickly made friends with the folks at the local materials yards, establishing contacts that ended up coming in handy with subsequent projects over the years.

Most recently, we brought Pat in to handle our biggest project to date - site work for our life’s dream of a large backyard pavilion. It involved rebuilding our home’s entire drainage system and completely reengineering the grade and slope around the house in preparation for a lot of concrete flatwork.

Even on the ditch work and drainage system, his work was so meticulous I remember thinking it’s a shame it will end up under earth and concrete where no one gets to see and appreciate it. We took a lot of pictures, plus the clean-outs Pat installed give me a window into that system that we can look into at any time.

From the invisible infiltration system doing it’s job underground, to the snap lines and laser level work required to maintain the proper fall, to final grading and compacting of the crushed rock, Pat did it all, and did it to perfection. The concrete contractor was blown away.

Pat is a perfectionist when it comes to both function and form. He puts a lot of thought and planning into his projects, plies his trade with great care and a light touch when it’s called for, and has real expertise in drainage systems, grade, soils, and other materials. To find an operator skilled in any one of these is rare. With Pat, you get it all.
